FDBR questions
Florida privacy law,
explained.
Who is covered by Florida’s Digital Bill of Rights?
Only very large companies — those with $1 billion or more in global annual revenue that also operate a consumer smart speaker platform, app store, search engine, social media platform, or online cloud platform. This narrow scope limits its reach significantly.
Does Florida have stronger children’s protections?
Yes. The FDBR includes strong protections for minors, prohibiting targeted advertising to anyone under 18 and requiring age verification by covered platforms.
What fines can companies face?
Up to $50,000 per violation, trebled to $150,000 for violations involving minors. Only the Florida AG can bring enforcement actions.
How does ClickOff help me use my FDBR rights?
ClickOff acts as your authorized agent under the FDBR and all applicable state laws. Instead of sending individual deletion requests to hundreds of data brokers one by one, ClickOff submits on your behalf to 200+ brokers simultaneously — with a legal receipt generated instantly. Free forever.
